Proud Supporters of the Performing Arts

We are delighted to have supported Andrew London and April Phillips with assessing the feasibility, compiling a business plan, going to market and promoting “Lets Talk About Me” . The project was borne out of the covid -19 lockdown with grave concern for the well being of our performing arts sector whose future looked very bleak.

We at The Edge believe performing arts are an essential element of our community. So we set about doing something about it. Consequently funding through crowd funding platform “ Boosted” reached target well ahead of deadline- in record time, according to Boosted’s principals.

The “Lets Talk About Me” project  is about writing a stage musical based on New Zealand focused innovative satirical songwriting of well known local singer  / songwriter Andrew London, and the creative writing and theatre performance skills of one of our country’s leading playwrights, April Phillips.  It will employ actors and support crew.

This will be a truly unique production because it will deliver an engaging storyline and music lyrics based on our self deprecating sense of humour. “Lets Talk About Me” will provide a memorable musical perspective on the ups and downs of antipodean life and how to enjoy it.

The writing is programmed to complete Q2 2021, with performances commencing Q3.

We’re proud to be associated with such exciting projects and greatly looking forward to the show..
